I am writing this post in response to the editorial written by Adam Freeman about pets being property and it being up to him how he wants to treat them.  He was horrified when a man tried to kill his dog and the authorities intervened.  As far as I’m concerned, any person that feels this way is a vile human being.  Are we in the dark ages, when people were property?  Animals are no different.  If something is a living breathing thing, it is not a thing.  It has feelings and deserves love.  Anyone that feels animals are property that they should be allowed to torture, kill, ect., should have a chance at being that same kind of property.  They should die the very most cruel unjust death because after all, can’t we do as we want with our "property"?
